Noon to 3 p.m.

East Mooring Basin: Fisherpoet Dave Densmore invites you to coffee aboard his boat Cold Stream, moored at the 39th St pier. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the old Hanthorn Cannery while youre there, the oldest cannery building still standing on the Columbia River.

2 to 10 p.m.

FPG Gearshack: Voices from the Tidelands A glimpse into the experience of geoduck farming in South Puget Sound through photographs and stories of several growers. Silent Auction items will be on display. Fisherpoets CDs, books, chapbooks and artwork on sale.

2 to 4 p.m.

Astoria American Legion Post 12: Remembering the Salvage Chief: Photos, history and crew members stories about this legendary local working vessel, with Don and Dave Floyd, a Legion event open to all.

3 to 5 p.m.

Columbian Theater: Commercial Fishing Film Festival 2014 The greatest moments of commercial fishing through the best of user-generated content, the finest of videography and raw adventure. With Dave Clark.

4 to 7 p.m.

Imogen Gallery: The Sea Provides An exhibition by professional artist/fishermen Corey Arnold and Martin Machado. Artist reception.

10 p.m. to closing

Wet Dog Café: Hear the Souls of the Sea Trio from Gloucester, MA, in concert.

Barbey Maritime Center: How to Write a Poem in 4D A practical writing workshop with fisherpoet Sierra Golden, winner of North Carolina State Universitys 2012 American Poets Prize, using diction, details, description and direction to craft poetry about work.

Columbia River Maritime Museum: Caring for the Columbia: Addressing threats to the health of the Columbia River, upbeat and lively, with Columbia Riverkeepers Brett VandenHeuvel and Alexa Wiley. // The Didliest Catch: A songwriting workshop, exploring new ways of using music in our lives, with Alaskan folk musician and fisherpoet John Palmes.

Barbey Maritime Center: That Story Youve Wanted to Tell: a workshop for those whove never written and for seasoned writers feeling stuck, with fisherpoet Erin Fristad. Leave inspired with a net shed full of new gear.

Astoria Event Center: On-site poetry contest. Rules to be announced Friday. Everyone wearing an FPG button is eligible to compete. Audience applause helps determine which winning poem is posted on the fisherpoets.org website.

KALA Gallery: FisherPoets Dance hosted by Dinah Urell and Nancy Cook. Rock. New Wave. Country. Cocktails.
