From the artist’s website: In the beautiful and harsh northern lands of Scandinavia, you will find one of the oldest living cultures in the world; it is that of the Sami people. They have a long and enduring history, romantic with a culture like no other. A nomadic and peaceful people, they make beautiful handicrafts.
This stunning jewelry is made from materials imported from Sweden. Each piece is made from tanned reindeer leather, spun pewter thread, and pewter or reindeer antler buttons. If there are beads in the piece they are Sterling Silver. Artificial sinew is used in the sewing of the jewelry. Every aspect in the creation of these pieces is done with tools and materials imported from Sweden, right down to the needles and threads.
