Seaside Chamber Ambassadors to hold annual sale

SEASIDE – The Seaside Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will hold a sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, in the parking lot of the Chamber building at 7 N. Roosevelt.

Items featured in the sale include furniture, household goods, tools, outdoor and recreational equipment, books, art and more.

“This is the Ambassadors’ one fundraising event of the year. The money raised helps us continue our work across the community. We assist at many local events that could not be produced without volunteer help,” said Virginia Dideum, president of the Ambassadors group. “The Ambassadors contribute annually to the Broadway flower basket fund, fireworks display and last November paid for the holiday banners and hardware that decorated Quatat Park and the Broadway Bridge. The Ambassadors also provide the flag service to place American flags throughout town on appropriate flag display holidays.”

People who would like to donate items to the sale should call (503) 738-9880 to arrange a drop-off or pickup. They can also bring items to the Chamber of Commerce building during regular hours Friday, May 23. The sale does not accept clothing, mattresses, non-working electrical appliances or anything with hazardous materials.

Membership in the Chamber Ambassadors group is open to anyone who would like to volunteer and there are no dues or membership fees.
