Herbs will be among the plants available at the Nehalem Bay Garden Club plant sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit horticultural-related programs and other charities.

NEHALEM – The Nehalem Bay Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10. The club is a learning and service organization that supports community programs on the north Oregon Coast and holds a plant sale each year the Saturday before Mother’s Day.

The sale has grown in size and the number of plants offered and will be held in the gymnasium at the North County Recreation District, 36155 Ninth St. Plant offerings include annuals, perennials, shrubs, ornamental grasses, trees, cut flowers, mixed flowering baskets, vegetable starts, herbs, garden stepping stones and a garden boutique. A container of mixed flowering plants will be raffled and Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer plant and garden questions.

Proceeds from the sale are used to fund horticultural-related programs and other charitable organizations in the area, with more than $2,000 in donations this past year. All plants are selected to grow in the area.
