Plein air painting group forming in southwest Washington

MANZANITA – The Hoffman Center hosts drawing and watercolor classes by award-winning artist Dorene Lindstedt in April and May. The classes will be held in the center’s Art Room at 595 Laneda Ave. from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sundays.

“Learn to See as You Learn to Draw” will be taught April 6, 13 and 20. Beginners are welcome and all materials will be supplied. The class will cost $75 and is limited to nine people.

“Watercolor Techniques” will be held May 4, 11 and 18. The class also costs $75 and is limited to nine participants.

Lindstedt has taught classes and workshops in Cannon Beach and Portland. She has gallery representation at White Bird in Cannon Beach and the Portland Art Museum rental/sales gallery. She has been highly awarded in numerous exhibitions. Her art has appeared in four publications and is in collections across the United States.
