If you’re getting a touch of spring fever and are hankering for the return of Sunday Market, the upcoming Spring Craft Fair could be just the ticket.

Parents raising funds for the Astoria High School’s senior graduation celebration announced a Spring Craft Fair event to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Astoria High School Commons. The event will feature more than 25 local craft market vendors, student musicians, a barbecue and refreshments, photos with the Easter Bunny and raffled prizes throughout the day.

Parent organizers explained that Astoria High School doesn’t fund the senior celebration, so monies must be raised for the event. “We want our community’s kids to have a safe and sober graduation celebration. Raising the money to provide for a fun but supervised event is one of the best ways to insure this milestone in a teenager’s life is a safe time,” they said.

Organizers note that the Spring Craft Fair is appropriate for families as well as individuals. “There’s something for everyone; you can shop for craft items, listen to music, enjoy the festivities and the food, and be helping raise money for a great cause,” they said.

Astoria High School is located at 1001 W. Marine Drive. For more information, call Maureen Jaworski at (503) 325-8291.
