FALCON COVE – Some of the coast’s best entertainment this weekend is at Fire Mountain School’s annual Raffle Party, Saturday, May 6 at the Nehalem Fire Hall.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Music, starting at 7:30 p.m., will be provided by the Bond Street Blues Band, Heather Christie and the Tsunami Drummers. Complimentary food will be provided and beer and wine will be available. The drawing will take place at 9:30 p.m., and winners need not be present to win. Only 600 tickets will be sold, and if there are still tickets available, they can be purchased at the party or from one of the outlets below before Saturday. A raffle ticket stub is good for two admissions to the party, and the admission fee for those without a ticket is $10.

The grand prize is a $4,250 trip to Brazil or any destination of the winner’s choice. Second prize is a $250 gift certificate to Breitenbush Hot Springs, and third prize is a $250 gift certificate to Mike’s Bikes in Cannon Beach. Fire Mountain School is a 22-year-old, small progressive elementary school in Falcon Cove, dedicated to assisting children in their ongoing work of exploring and making sense of the world.
