The association’s March exhibit, “Human Structures,” explores houses, barns, skyscrapers, city lights, planes, trains and anything man-made. The show will be on display 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, March 1 through 31, at the Trail’s End Art Center, 656 A St. An opening reception is 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 4.
The TEAA offers a wide range of art classes. Member Susan Bish said she has benefited from the variety of classes offered by expanding her artwork from watercolors to collage, acrylics and oil paints. Bish said she feels that being a student is an essential part of any evolving artist.
“For me, the joy is in the doing, the learning, the constant experimenting and sharing with fellow artists,” Bish said. She placed two works on display in the association’s February art show and will participate in March’s show as well.

Born in New York and raised in California, Bish has been an Oregonian for more than 30 years and a Trail’s End member for more than 20. Her motto in art is best described in one word: “Pentimento.” Her interpretation of the word involved looking back on events of her life and realizing they were invariably colored by the passage of time, hence the meaning: “Retelling life’s stories in paint.”
